Until Further Notice…
In order to be compliant with Executive Order No. 2020-21, the leadership of Bishop Bard, and to help set a positive example for others, we will not be holding worship services in-person at the church. As the body of Christ for the world, we believe we have a social, ethical, moral, and spiritual responsibility to mirror the best practices for the safety and well-being of everyone.
In place of our normal worship services, we are hosting an online streaming worship service on Sundays at 10:00 A.M. (EST) through our Facebook page. You do not need a Facebook account to access our page or this video feed. We invite you to join us for a time of worship that will include prayer, music, Scripture, and preaching. These services are also archived on our YouTube channel if you wish to watch previous services or are not able to join us at 10:00 A.M. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to a time when we will be able to join together again in-person for worship, praise, and fellowship.
On Sunday mornings during the year, we have two worship services beginning at 8:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. Everyone is welcomed at our services: young and old, rich and poor, any race, any gender, any physical or mental ability level, any sexual orientation, EVERYONE!
Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month (unless otherwise noted on our calendar). We celebrate open communion which means again that EVERYONE is welcomed to partake. You do not need to be a member of our church or denomination. The table belongs to Jesus and all that he asks is that you come with an open heart.
Our 8:30 A.M. Sunday morning services are blended in regard to liturgy, music, style, and message. Worship elements and liturgy include prayers and Scripture readings. Music selections come from various hymnals, live performances, and popular music found on the radio and streaming services. The style of this service is what we like to call “relaxed”. There is no special dress code or anything like that. We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed in our space just as you are! And the message each week touches on everyday, real-life issues/concerns/ideas/etc. and are often part of a series of messages with an overall theme or idea, covering several weeks.
Our 11:00 A.M. Sunday morning services follow more of a traditional worship style in regard to liturgy, music, and message. Worship elements and liturgy include prayers, confession, Scripture readings, and more. Music selections come from various hymnals and the occasional live performance. The style of this service is what we like to call “traditional/relaxed”. Just like our early service, there is no special dress code or anything like that. We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed in our space just as you are! And the message each week touches on everyday, real-life issues/concerns/ideas/etc. and are often part of a series of messages with an overall theme or idea, covering several weeks.
Other Worship Services
Throughout the year, in addition to weekly Sunday services, we often celebrate other worship services based on the liturgical season of the church year. Whether during the Lenten season, Easter season, Advent season, or other various times of the year, there are many services that are also offered in the evenings and/or midweek. To see what upcoming services are scheduled, please check out our CALENDAR for more information!
