Kinship Care

Helping Grandparents Raising Grandchildren…

A collaborative offering by the St. Joseph County Commission on Aging and Community Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services of St. Joseph County.

The Kinship Care Program & Support group offers monthly group meetings, workshops, provision of educational resources, respite child care during support group meetings, and referrals to other county agencies, organizations, and healthcare providers. This program also helps to increase public awareness of the unique issues facing those providing kinship care.

Our Mission

The purpose of this group is to provide grandparents and other kinship families an opportunity to come together on a regular basis in order to provide encouragement and support for each other. As a group, we also want to provide information and resources to raise a greater awareness to other kinship families in the communities of St. Joseph County.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the Third Thursday of each month from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Everyone is welcome! Childcare and an evening meal are provided.

Location: Centreville United Methodist Church, 305 E. Main St, Centreville, MI, 49032
